BSc, MSc and PhD in Nutrition. 25 years teaching nutrition at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the UK, having taught over 3000 students.

A Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) for 20 years. Adam has been running a private nutrition consultancy (nutriffic) since 2005. Individual nutrition counselling for individual clients. Consulting for companies and corporate health. Currently is the Head of Nutrition for Form Nutrition and content writer (see also https://formnutrition.com/inform/author/adamcollins/)

Specialising in weight loss, weight gain and sports nutrition. Have also served as a nutrition consultant for a Weight Management company (eurodiet).   

 Associate Professor of Nutrition at the University of Surrey and Programme Director for the BSc Nutrition programme. Programme director for MSc in Human Nutrition (launched 2014).

 Specialist research interest in body composition, energy balance and metabolism, intermittent fasting, meal timing and composition for health, and exercise nutrition.  Training of PhD students in exercise and energy balance research, intermittent fasting, carbohydrate manipulation, and mathematic modelling of weight loss.

 Published in many peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences.   Co-editor of Sports and Exercise Nutrition: A Nutrition Society textbook. Wiley-Blackwell – 2011.  

 

Has acted as an Expert commentator on Media topics related to diet and weight management.   Contributor to articles for the Conversation. https://theconversation.com/profiles/adam-collins-1179004/articles. Has appeared in media and TV on topics related to eating around exercise, meal timing and intermittent fasting.
